I need to plant a climbing plant in a shady place, what do you suggest?

I would like a climbing plant that flowers for as long a period as possible (btw I live in Paris) so central European climate. It never gets really much below -5C more than 1/2 Weeks of the year.

The situation is a terrace in large 60/80 Liter pots

There are two places one which is sheltered on a inside corner of a east/south facing wall so it gets sun in the from midday until evening. Hieght upto 2 meters spread 3 meters.

The second is south facing under a terrace so it gets very little direct rain. Height 2.5 Meters limited spread 1 meter.

It would be nice to have perpetual flowers for summer.

Have planted many climbers but all have died.:-(

A Clematis vine is very fragrant and colorful, easy to grow. BUT if ALL your climbers have died.....the soil isn't up to par or you need fertilizer.
Reply:Have you tried Clematis?
Reply:I have had success with star jasmine an ever green climber with lots of white flowers
Reply:Honeysuckle smells geat and will grow anywhere.

Planting directions; Throw it down and run!
Reply:Honeysuckle
