How is this poem.....................?

In a sunlit garden

I raised beautiful flowers

three were roses

Three beautiful roses

sprouted from hopeless seeds

my special roses

I kept dear in my garden

Among them, on I deeply admired

she was most bright and brilliant

radiating its sunny love in my garden

Too much for a weak soul like mine

I grew withdrawn from its presence

watching after it from a distance

As I moved farther away,

the rose grew sad and cried

as the wind blew us apart

Its tears moisting the soil

Its eyes looking toward the sun

where other gardeners

in greed and envy

snatched her away from me

As for the second rose

its roots were never really in my garden

At the slightest distraction,

other boundaries crossed mine

and now possessed her

With a lesser and emptier garden remaining

I looked to my last rose

Though not as pretty as the others

she had a firm grip in the soil

I drew her closer to me

A cold stone wall built

around the garden now graying

freezing all intimate feeling

She could not bear the chilling wind

and went elsewhere

Now I stand

in my once sunlit garden

an empty spot

I sleep in this

cold and deserted graveyard

which I built in my heart

Wow! This poem is so beautiful! It has really touched my heart. To be honest, a few parts didn't flow perfectly and in the fifth stanza the word moisting should be moistening (sorry to be finicky!) but this is better than a lot of published poems that I've read! Thank you so much for sharing. You definately have a new fan!
Reply:This is superb! I couldn't stop reading it - waiting to see what was next to come. Written, nice and tightly. Again, great poem. Thank you for sharing.
