How will you celebrate V day?

Once most innocent, "Virginal" still,


even through the swirls and swill


Is this some Goddesslike sense,perhaps


ever insisting through each time lapse?


Rose petals scattered down a hall;


lipstick writing scrawled on a wall;


inviting, should I then explore


silent, or burst, through the bedroom door?


Hair on the pillow wildly splayed


should I challenge, or be afraid?


Would I be thought much less the man


to answer, or alter, your grand plan?


To "celebrate" might be best left to children


but I still want to, and hope I'm forgiven.


It's just a day in so many surrounding,


but as a romantic I hope to be drowning.


Give it up for those hearts and flowers guys


that so many shop for, last minute and buy.


Be aware that the sentiments are so often meant,


they just can't be poured out like so much cement.


Get a joyful look on, if you have someone


if not, do it anyway, allow others that fun


share if you will, in that love does exist


and I know love not found can still be missed
