Disturbing dream of "Pepto pink" wedding?

I have always wanted to know what this dream meant. About a year ago, I dreamt I was about to get married. I am in a cottage like hut/house in the beautiful picturesque wooded garden. In the house/hut (looks like a fairy tale) I am surrounded by my closest friends and family. The walls are pepto-pink, the bridesmaids dresses are pink, the flowers are pink, my aunts are drapping pink fabric all over the place. My mom and aunt are putting my dress on (on me) and my uncle and brother are bringing in a huge cake (guess what color...pepto-pink).

This all sounds ok but the only thing is that I am hysterically crying buckets of tears the whole time. I have strong feelings of fear and despair. My mother tries to soothe me but she isn't accomplishing anything. When I woke up I had tears in my eyes and I felt horrible for a couple of hours. I have never felt like that after a dream before. WTH?

Disturbing dream of "Pepto pink" wedding?
That sounds like Julia Roberts' wedding in "Steel Magnolias". It just sounds to me like you want to find Mr. Right (if you haven't already found him) and you want everything to be just right and nothing to go wrong.
Reply:wow u were probably having a pepto pink dream bcuz u werent feeling to good and thts y u werent feeling good when u woke up
Reply:I sure don't blame you for being disturbed by a "pepto-pink" dream...ick for my tastes!

My take on the dream is that you were either worried about being pregnant ("it's a girl!")...which would also make you cry a lot (that hormonal activity)...AND have you dreaming of marriage.

It could be that it was time for your "monthly" and that it was rough, something your dream mother couldn't help you with. And about your mother and aunt being there--that was good, you have "spirit guides," or access to your subconscious while you're awake, if you take advantage of it.

Also after a dream like that, with the "strong feelings of fear and despair," it's not at all a surprise that you were still upset afterwards. It was a nightmare!

I think those simple things caused that "WTH" dream. Here's hoping future dreams are much more pleasant and clear for you.

All the best!
Reply:It's interesting to me that you keep associating pink with Pepto Bismal when you tell about your dream.

Usually pink does symbolize all those things that Water? talked about, but in this dream it seems different: Pepto Bismal is for nausea, for when you have a sick stomach. It's the "girly" color too -- and so much of it is coming at you from so many sides, I wonder if your mind is telling you that some kind of "overkill" femininity is going on in your life right now. Is sombody in your world, including yourself, expecting you to be overly girly?

You are surrounded by Pepto. Almost like you were the sickness in a stomach that was being treated with Pepto. It keeps coming at you, in your aunts, your bridesmaids dresses, even in your cake that your brother and father are bringing in. You have a lot of PINK coming at you.

This might mean that you're trying to use your femininity to cure something in yourself, on a "gut level". Marriage does mean accepting change in dreams. So I would wonder if you are on the verge of accepting some big change in your life.

Change always requires some parts of us to go away and new parts of us to come into being. Maybe you in the bride's dress symbolized the old you, who is about to be merged with some change in your life, and the pink Pepto world is trying to make "less nauseating" for you to accept.

If you are crying such tears of despair and felt so bad when you woke up, I would say that you really do fear this change that is coming and your subconscious is trying to help soothe you by sending out "medicine" in the form of a dream. The dream itself is your mind's way of helping to make the change easier for you.
Reply:Pink represents love, joy, sweetness, happiness, affection, kindness. Being in love or healing through love is also implied with this color.

To see a marriage in your dream, signifies commitment, harmony or transitional period. You are undergoing an important developmental phase in your life. The dream may also represent the unification of formerly separate or opposite aspects of yourself. In particular, it is the union of masculine or feminine aspects of yourself. Consider the qualities and characteristics of the person that you are marrying. These are the qualities that you need to look at incorporating within yourself.

To dream that you are a character in a fairy tale, suggests your need to be rescued or to be swept off your feet. It also indicates that you are exploring your limits and trying to awaken your fullest potential.

Good Luck
