Has Love made you Mad?

A Time for Madness

Once more,

Love is pouring down my ceiling

and my walls.

Once more, it's the night of the full moon,

it is time for madness.

All my immense knowledge

cannot help me now.

Once more,

Insomnia took my patience.

Rain washed away my intellect.

The Lover made me lose my profession.

What good is my work anyway?

Once more, rise, rise, rise,

Like the way a garden burns

in a hundred shades of orange in the fall,

a Lover's heart shrivels for a sense of the Beloved's touch.

Now the face of that charred garden

is my field of flowers.

Look, two hundred Jupiters

are dancing around my moon.

My Love business is booming,

but don't credit the consultants.

I am done with the consultants

and the pundits,

they call you Jafar the imposter.

Little do they know,

that you are my Shams the Flyer.

~Rumi

Has Love made you Mad?
yes, in the way rumi describes it... every single line strokes the gong of love and truth in my heart, thank you.
Reply:love for another person? if that's the case...i'm trying to undo my madness.
Reply:No, love makes a person liberal, patient, responsible, caring and understanding.
Reply:Yes!!

Unfortunately it is 5 years ago now,,,

The memory still makes me smile,,

I would laugh i would smile all day

And I went mad!! (Heathcliff cathy no i went Lancelot mad!!)

Hope to meet Love again// (think only the same Lover will do now, my downfall?? I got pretty religious to just about then. The whole thing was madness, happyness)

I miss the intensity of every moment when there is Love, when happiness becomes your permanent state of being..

Love
Reply:Everything around you seems to blossom....love brings meaning to ones life....it makes you feel special in its own way....you just can’t stop thinking about your beloved....when you are in love you can never be lonely wherever you go...i dont feel it is madness...it is deewanagi
Reply:Yes it definately has and probably will again.
Reply:That is one person's opinion. Love is frustrating because when I was a child, I thought like a child. When I was a baby I thought that everyone should stop what they were doing because I cried. And when they didn't answer my cry, I got mad because my feelings got hurt.

When I grew up, I had to grow out of being self-centered. To love required me to be the care giver. I had to love another so I wasn't self-centered.

"My Love business is booming" is not a description of what I call love. 1 cor 13:4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Reply:sadly, yes. *starts to cry*
Reply:Thanks for all the Rumi poems he is so passionate :))) I think that Love has made us all mad at one point of time and another I can not see one person saying no to this question than they must not be human than hehehe or cannot love :)))))) Thanks again :))))
