i am redecorating my mobile home. i am looking toward a tan colored wall paint ( ecru) its from sherwin williams. and lets say i have a dark colored couch (its chocolate brown colored) i have to have dark colors cuz i have kids 2 and 3 and a newborn on its way lol so yeah my house is pretty crazy but newayz... i am looking forward to buying a maroon colored curtian they have little beige flowers in them from family dollar. or from walmart would that look right?
Should i choose a light color or a dark color?
hun, u get whatever suits u! it dont matter wether we thinks its right or wrong, its wether U like it or not. i can give an opinion, dark colors make the room look dark and smaller, where light colors brighten the room and make the room look larger.
Reply:tan does not go with everything, the only color that goes with everything is magnolia, but i dont think you'll want that as it looks cheap, and boring!
i good color with what you have is tuape, it's a very nice color with good lighting effect, i recomend you get a good quality paint as you will be wanting something you can clean, will cost more but save you money in the long run.
or you can just buy some extra so you can paint over the kiddies art! lol
Reply:light color semi-gloss in the ecru will work. it's washable. light colors make the room seem a bit larger, lighter and more cheerful.
your color choices seem quite lovely and you are correct to choose dark colors with the kids, your stuff will stay nice looking even if the little ones get them a little dirty or make stains.
