Ok, so 2007 Valentines Day comes around and he does nothing! Been together 3 yrs now - I came from a single life %26amp; into an instant family with 2 kids. We never really had a chance to be a couple. So I make the effort, not just on Valentines Day but everyday - thats how it should be.
BUT at the end of the day its nice, warm %26amp; fuzzy to be remembered on Valentines Day.
So I write deep %26amp; meaning stuff in a card, get a bear and leave it on the bed before I leave for work - whoop-de-do! I get a 'thankyou, that was most unexpected'
THEN after work I give him his real gift - an elusive wall-hanging we had wanted for ages %26amp; I managed to get.
To top it off I picked up his favourite magazine so he could relax %26amp; read.
What did I get??? NOTHING... ZILICH
And he just used the line 'I dont feel I need to send you flowers on Valentines day, it should be whenever'
Trouble is...... there has NEVER been a WHENEVER!
Why? Why, do men do that? Whats their logic?
Why do guys do that??
maybe because Val. Day is just one more occasion to stick it to a man.
Reply:well 1st you have to remember who you truly are showing your love too..on Valentines= flower and card companies
Halloween= candy manufacturors
New years day...alcohol companies
Easter= Egg producers
Christmas= toy manufacturors.............etc. etc.
Because you didn't get "something"on a particular day, doesn't mean he doesn't love you or isn't ever going to buy you anything else.....I'm afraid that you and a lot of other people have fallen for the AD-MAN....what if he buys you something next week...does that mean less???? think about it
Reply:Not all men do do that. It is yours who does that, for one. Are you not ever appreciated? Might be time to have a chat about what this means for you. You might not be so well suited after all. Only you can weigh this.
Reply:In the famous words of Gerg Berendht: He's just not that into you... Time to move on, girlfriend! ;) There are BETTER fish in the sea.....
